First, I am sorry that my computer translating program maybe is not so good. Therefore, I write in English. Maybe someone will help me by correctly translating to Russian for all to read.
Second, Da is father of TEM. But Russian experts and books have told me that interior systems of Da (electrical, hydraulic, and others) were soon modified and improved for TEM. This is logical. Nonetheless, Da was the series which Stalin said should be produced for Soviet railroads, and TE1 was born.

Also, I am of course very happy to see Da-031 in such nice paint. Thank you to who did this! What are plans for it? Is this the same locomotive which was at Tashkent in 1991, and at Lebyazhye in 1998?
I also hope Da-031 will be in this museum. Several years ago I asked people to tell me the correct number of this Da, but nothing on the locomotive reveals this. No one knows the true number. I am writing history of Da series, so it is important to know this. Maybe Tashkent Da has wrong number?

RE: Peter Bergs As I see, this is not the same locomotive which is at Tashkent http://www.train-photo.ru/details.php?image_id=12196, because it was situated for many years at Lebyaz’e (Лебяжье), Leningrad region http://parovoz.com/newgallery/pg_view.php?ID=56775&LNG=RU. I can’t explain number collision. I hope, this locomotive will be the exhibit in Warshavsky railroad museum near Da 20-09.
