Last year at the Swedish/Finnish border the
TALGO-principle of regauging between 1435 and
1520 mm has been evaluated aiming at a future
selction of a permanent system for transfer of
freight wagons.

Now in the near future a German equipment is
going to be evaluated, also based on wheels being
adjusted on the axle. According to my source, this
system is "based on German trials in the cold war
period in Poland where the purpose was freight car
regauging between 1435 mm and 1520 mm and vice
versa" (referred by the Finnish State Railways).

Anybody who knows anything about that?
When was this principle tried,
and where,
and how does it differ from the TALGO-principle?

I have never heard about that, ( I only know the
system of exchanging wheelsets or trucks) so if
anybody knows, please inform me!

Best regards
