What you see to the left is an abstract from the largest Russian daily
Izvestia (11.10.97) written by Victor Veselago. The English
translation reads:
...The quality of the information in our (Russian - DZ)
Internet leaves much to be desired. Here is one paradoxal but a very
typical example: the only electronic newsletter, dedicated to the
Russian railways, is published on a regular basis by Russian emigrees
in Australia, and a Russian student of one of New York Universities
(presumably myself - DZ) maintains a railway server. One can
get Russian long distance and even commuter timetables out of the
Foreign Internet. I do not even ask what does the MPS's (Ministry
of Railways - DZ) think about it.
